Firstly, I am no expert seamstress! I have sewn since I was a child, from dolls’ outfits [including a dashing little number for Windy Miller…] through the glitter of the seventies then the grown up world of soft furnishings.
I’ve never got on too well with patterns and jargon, so have kind of figured things out for myself, lots of mistakes on the way!
After launching my first two dvds on Ideal World TV I have received many e-mails and letters asking for help and advice on topics that I’m not too familiar with, so I thought that alongside a shop that I would also launch a forum . This can be a place where we can all share ideas, inspiration, hints and tips on sewing - ask or answer, it’s up to you.
I am sure many of you, like me, have reached a stand still in your sewing projects and just can’t find help! From finding the right fabric or machine, to not understanding patterns or sewing jargon.
Hopefully by asking the question, one of us will know the answer to your sewing challenges!
